Congrats Brent and PRB. I had a good morning. Moved to a different spot at 715 and struck one up. He gobbled a couple times about 100-150 yards from me. I set up on him and dang if the next time I called a hen answered me. She crossed down below me and basically cut me off I sat tight for another hour and a half and never heard another peep. That's turkey hunting!

Congrats on the kills guys!
I love my Stony copper call. I've lost my striker for it. I need to get another one for it.

I got on a couple of the birds in the same spot I heard a few yesterday. I had them within 150 yards for 3 hours, within 100 for over an hour, but never closer than 70. Heard em gobble probably 300 times, and I have no clue why I didn't end up killing one. Thats turkey hunting I guess. Some days an old smart bird just doesn't feel like dying.

My morning sounds identical to yours except I didn't kill anything and I probably cussed a lot more than you did. Sucks...

I've heard from a half dozen people (including myself) that it was best morning of the year thus far. Hopefully tomorrow is as good

The 2 times I went this week, they could not have gobbled any better. I probably heard 500 gobbles combined in the 2 hunts. Only problem is there still seem to be plenty of hens hanging around with them and the gobblers seem content just hanging with them.

Great morning for listening to birds but I just couldn't seal the deal. Old bird I was after was locked down tight with a group of hens. I managed to get in front of them but they angled just out of range. It was a fun day in the woods regardless.
