Going to hunt 3600 acres of lightly hunted property in Fosters. I checked it out on the map and it looks jam up! This is a friends place so he will be the trigger man hoping to get his first turkey but I'll be right beside him batting clean up.

I'll be going after them for the next 12 mornings. Just wish I had a few more chances at a late morning hunt. Thats usually when I kill my bigger birds. I'll have my hunting buddy next week laying them down.

Congratulations to the guys that killed! I called in 5 different birds this morning and not one of them gave me a shot. Ill be going back in the morning to bust ones head! Only one of them gobbled a few times but he had a weird gobble and was very low toned. Geuss this high barometric pressure has them messed up.

I called in a super Jake for a friend as his first bird. The nitro mega weights are amazing, they about took the turkeys head completely off at 20yds. Too bad they don't make them anymore.

Then went to the national forest around selma saturday heard 3 different birds only had one gobble good got on him at 10:30 he came into 80 yards and hung up below me. We hunted until 3:00 saturday never heard another bird. I took off work and went back to the forest yesterday and never heard a bird at all yesterday hunted until 1:00.

Went to Monroeville last week, had a bird gobble a couple times, but couldn't figure out where he was and never heard him after he flew down. Went to another property and had bird strike up about 930, sat down and had him coming in on a string when all of the sudden the game warden comes walking up making all kinds of noise. Needless to say we didn't kill the bird. I was pissed. I am headed to Barbour County this weekend weather permitting, so we will see what happens.

Called up 2 this morning, both were about the same size. After I shot the other bird jumped on him and started spurring him and pecking. I'm definitely going to invest in a good camera. http://[/img]
