Hayleigh is 5 now and decided she wanted to go hunt with me. She loves checking cameras, but has never wanted to go hunt. About 10 minutes after daylight we could hear some hens talking not far off the field we were sitting on. Heard one gobble a long ways off. She didn't hear it. About 650 a hen comes into field I'm getting her onto the bino's and another hen comes in. We watching them and listening to them yelping back and forth. Crows and woodpeckers all going crazy. She is what's that? What's that? All new to her. Then we had 2 does and a buck that had shed his horns come in. She was enjoying watching the deer for about 5 min. Got bored with that so went to coloring. The deer leave, one hen leaves. About 830 hen comes out 20 yards from us. She is feeding towards other hen in middle of field. I glance back and there he is! All puffed up in all his glory. Get her muffs on, gun up, she gave the thumbs up and I put him down! Beautiful day in God's creation . I am a blessed man. 2nd pic is her turkey in the field drawing.
