I live in Montgomery, was born and raised in Lowndes county. I'll also add that just like last year and the previous 15 years my temporary divorce will start tomorrow in preparation for the youth hunt and will last until the end of April! I normally tag out in the first 3 weeks and start calling for the kids after that.

South Bama Slayer if I have a chance to hunt by myself I'll let you know and we can go to any management area you want. I usually do more calling for others than shooting. The few times I get to go by myself is the birds that I usually post on here every year. I have a little cousin that after the past 2 turkey seasons he won't let me go without him.

More than happy to double team a bird or two. I can call pretty well, but driving a 4dr car limits where I can access lol. This team needs you to do more shooting than calling for others!

Hoyt it was in Coosa County. They seem to be showing back up in their normal spring places over the past week and half.

South bama slayer I usually kill my 3 birds for aldeer with no problem. Reeve Thanks for the info I have what I think will be an awesome way to introduce this kid into turkey hunting he has never been before. I plan on putting my boat in and going after them from the river and if all else fails maybe we can catch some fish plus my calls and vest can stay dry in the rod locker if it rains.

Nice Hoyt! Sounds like a good plan. I hope it works out where y'all get a bird and catch some fish!

Awesome. I have a few trips planned, and just got confirmation for a trip to Barbour County where I heard 4 birds one morning during deer season.

We heard 4. We set up and called to one and he didn't gobble once he hit the ground and I guess he left with hens. We got on two more around 7:50 that got fired up but were henned up.

Didn't even hear a bird today. Called up a hen around 9 this morning and that was it she slipped in silent. But we saved the day caught 7 fish before 1 o clock then headed home.

Good luck to everyone chasing em in the morning! I'll be out there but not first trigger man. Hoping to get a buddy and fellow club member his first bird.

I'll be out tomorrow afternoon, but not first trigger man either. Fortunately we have pics of two toms running together so maybe we can double up.

No luck for me this morning but a buddy of mine, who I will leave unnamed, killed one at 88yds this evening with TSS. I'm not saying I agree with shooting birds that far or suggesting anyone here try it but that stuff is amazing! Just thought I'd share with the group.

Dang that's a long shot. Was he shooting it out of a 20 ga or 12?

We had alittle luck. It took awhile along with a good fussing match with a hen and had one strutting his way in but got spooked by something. I'm hoping I can have a rematch with him in the morning!

I've got 1200ish acres in Ramer on Woodley/ Mt. Zion Rd. If you are familiar with that area, my property is basically across street from Grandaddys Lounge.

I just had a hen cluck/cut for 35 min straight and haven't heard a peep out of a gobbler. I heard atleast two on the roost tearing it up but think they were across the creek. They gobbled their heads off.

That was out of a 20 gauge. He said he had pretty much stopped trying to get back up by the time he got to him to step on him.

Saw a big boy on the way in yesterday afternoon, couldn't get him to come or make a peep. Headed to Monroeville first part of next week for a few days, but not the first on the trigger there either, so we will see.
