Matte black Talley's or Dual Dovetail Leupold.

Stainless Leupold rings and bases. Never had an issue with any of my Leupold rings and bases.

If the leupold rings w/ windage adjustable rear were the only options for scope mounting then I'd give my scoped rifles away and just use a 30-30 with iron sights.

Talley's have yet to let me down, unlike the leupolds.

I'm not a fan of the rear adjustment Leupold mounts either but dual dovetails are solid.

I have a couple sets of the standard Leupold mounts with the rear windage screw on some older rifles. Haven't had any issues because I ain't had to touch em since they went on. Would never buy another set though. No way am I torquing my scopes by adjusting windage with the ring. If you want Leupold, get the dual dovetails.

Are those medium or high rings?

They are high, the guy started putting extra high and I made him take them off. I wanted to put mediums on but the scope is pretty close to the barrel with the high ring, it does shoulder well as far as eye relief and getting lined up.

Took the Abolt un cleaned and pre trigger adjustments to shoot a few rounds and just get it on paper after getting the scope mounted. I had a box of cheap federal power shock 150 gr soft points at the House and Decided to try those since I had them on hand. Just for giggles I figured I'd shoot this gun for the first time at 100 yards, it hit at almost exactly 9 o'clock on the left side of target. Adjusted the scope and cut the windage in half to the bullseye with the next bullet. Made one more adjustment and the Next 5 shots were within a 3" of each other. I was quite pleased, I took it home and cleaned all the factory packaging grease and oil off and adjusted the trigger down. I can hardly wait to get a chance to go do some real shooting and dial it in. I was very impressed with the Burris eurodiamond, it is a very clear and crisp scope that tracks well, I'm ready to see how it does at dusk and dawn.
