Why not just pin it in place?
I've thought about this too, but that would only work for my specific tractor or similar tractors of the same width - and would be an example of the drilling solution I've thought about. For example today I helped my buddy move his skid steer with my trailer and the holes I would have to put in place for my tractor wouldn't work for his skid steer. Guess I could just make a few holes in different locations to account for different axle widths.
