I've had a super Elite since I was 15 and I'm still wearing it. trust me, I've rode it hard and put it up wet and all it has is a hole in one of the pockets from the tip of my clippers. I wouldn't waste your money on an ol tom vest.

I just bought the Cabela's minimalist vest with speed seat. There on sal right now for $55. The reviews are really good and it has a lot of storage, which is surprising. Should have it in a few days.

This is the closest thing to it today. I use one of these and love it. They aren't the best quality because Bass Pro is producing them. I'm on my second one, but I got 4 years out of my first one.

Super Elite is hot and bulky. Ol Tom Time & Motion is light and just right if you don't carry the kitchen sink. Makes a decent deer vest too.

The way that the self supporting system works, it's not like just sitting on the ground. Your weight is distributed through your legs and back. I can sit in that vest much longer than I can just sitting on a pad
