Congrats Matt! I went in to run my few after work yesterday and had water almost coming over the hood on my truck. Snapped the traps and got the heck out of there before it got any worse. 2+ inches of rain last night so It'll probably be a week before I can even get back in to those traps to pull them.

I only had to cross one creek but when that water started rolling in front of me and was about to come over my hood I was sweating.

Congrats Ms. Brenda! Tell Grandslam I said he's gonna be a busy man when the fur market goes back up and you start making him skin all your coyotes. Lol!

i'll tell him but there won't be time between fishing trips. if the market goes up, it'll be our luck every yote in the area will have been eradicated crazy.

nothing in our sets today. moved one set back on the logging road about 15 yards after we found some coyote scat. reset the one from yesterday and put in a new one just past a sand bed where we found plenty of tracks.

reset two in daphne neighborhood. saw a yote last night that was so big i thought it was a yearling deer.

gonna dig up the one we have at the beaver pond and move it to another area tomorrow. will reset another one just off a greenfield - think it may be crusted over with hard pack sand from the last rain. refresh the scent too.

woohoo, hope to get another yote tonight.

Finally started catching my first critters. Caught a bobcat and a fox yesterday, and my first coyote this morning.

Its better to sit in a stand and think about God, then to sit in church and think about hunting.
