That is absolutely laughable, according to that map I presume they think Walker and Fayette Counties have as many or more deer as anywhere in the state. Well I live close to the Walker Fayette line and have hunted in several places throughout the state and that is absurd. It should have been in the orange section for sure. Mike, there are definitely fewer deer in eastern Fayette and western Walker Counties in places. We know that. There are other areas in close proximity where deer are fine. I saw 49 deer yesterday in 7 miles of county roads in western Fatette co. That's not too uncommon. We didn't have enough information to justify moving it into Fayette Co. The area in the orange is where we have the most information and justification for making a change that we can defend. We can't extend it into pockets of lower numbers when 5 miles away deer are really dense. Hey brother! Man it's good to see you posting again.I hope all is well with you.
