Word of advice, dont leave your keys in your tractor. Because when the son of a friend comes down to fill the feeders and gets his jeep stuck in the middle of a 120 acre pasture they will go get that tractor and get it stuck.
Got the word yesterday that happened to my International 986, all 12,000 pounds of it. Rear axle sitting on the ground.
Looks like I will be trying the wood on the wheels trick from that video... I had someone try to sell me a winch off of a rollback dumpster truck that had a bad motor. It was a 30,000 winch. I think Ill give him a call. Has anyone ever heard of putting a winch on a tractor?

I tilled over a spring and on the first run did not notice it. When I came back around I buried it up over my feet. We had to dig it out with a shovel and it took about 2 days.

On my 2wheel drive John Deere after getting stuck several times in the middle of nowhere all by myself I have figured an easy way to get it out. I run a chain through the wheel and hook it back to itself and hook the other end of the chain to a tree. Very slowly ease off the clutch and let the wheel roll the chain up and pull itself out. I wish I had thought of this all the times I was stuck instead of bringing in abunch more crap to get stuck.

Future advice if you ever get stuck again. Pick the bucket up and roll it all the way forward. Put it as far down in the mud as you can and roll it backwards. You may not get out the first time but if you can get bucket to get a good bite you can eventually work yourself backwards, assuming you don't have an implement buried up behind you too. You are never stuck with a bucket.

Nice tractor. I run a 1486 with duals.
You can dig it out long as it's not sitting on the frame... but looks like you'll need some help on the end of that shovel and about a day.
No government employees were harmed in the making of this mess.

You can dig it out long as it's not sitting on the frame... but looks like you'll need some help on the end of that shovel and about a day. I should make the dumbass that got it stuck do most of the digging. Ill stand back and keep an eye on the beer cooler. That might make him think twice about doing something like this again.

Depending on how wet it is still - you might be able to dig around the axle and use a couple of 6'x6' and a floor jack and get just enough lift to fill the hole with material to drive it out.

In other words, lay them on the ground in front of the rear tires, strap them thru the wheel with a ratchet strap, ease out on the clutch. It should lift the tire up and out of the hole. It may be worse than it looks, but it doesn't look bad stuck to me.

But with the rain this past week, even if I get it out is will probably get stuck 20 feet in front of where it is now. But I will keep trying so it is out when I am ready to plant my spring plots. Also have about 65 acres of CRP that needs cutting and it is supposed to be before April 15 to keep from disturbing nesting birds. Great...

Instead of a 6x6, try cutting a sweetgum and use it. Obviously, you will need to get the right size one for your case. Just be careful and don't roll it all the way into your fender.
Heck, try the trick in the video from early in the thread. Be sure and video that one though.
