Yet, you have the time to type this response. I don't believe any Trump supporter can honestly tackle the question I've posed numerous times. It's a conundrum that can't be reconciled for real conservatives. I'm not saying a real conservative couldn't vote for Trump. I am saying a real conservative couldn't spend much time pondering all the conflicting policies Trump has espoused and still give him their vote. Anger and emotion will overcome logic and anyone can succumb to those two things.

It is a shame though that neither of us will get to see how our first choice would do in office, at least this election, as the rino rubio will get the nomination and not a single thing will get done or undone. Not a single thing of consequence.

I never said I wouldn't vote for Rubio. I said if the party nominated someone I couldn't support I'd write Cruz in. I did say I'd never, ever vote for Trump and I still.mean that. I.have never voted for a democrat and I'm not going to start with Trump. I might find that I can't vote for Rubio but I'm going to do my best to find a reason to support him if he's the nominee. I would like to challenge any Trump voter to give a good explanation of why democrats should have known enough about Obama's past to not vote for him but why Republicans should ignore Donald's past and pull the lever for him. I haven't heard anything but crickets anytime I've posed that question in the past so I doubt it will be different this time around.

It's possible I did say I wouldn't support a Rino. I'm going to have a hard time pulling the lever for Rubio, and I'm still not sure I can, but I'm going to stay open to the possibility. Trump is a 100% no , for me. Since you responded to part of my reply, would you like to take a shot at the question I posed?

I've been converted, I'm voting for Cruz. I've decided I want a man to be leader of the free world that doesn't have enough sense not to hire people like Jeff Roe and Rick Tyler. Then he has really proved what a great decision maker he is by letting that whackjob Beck campaign for him.

Seriously take the Cruz blinders off and see this is a man that isn't even respected enough within his own campaign to have a retarted hit piece ran by him. He can't even call the shots in his own campaign.

Yes you have it all figured out. You are a master debater and a low information, emotional voter like me can't compete. The simple fact is I don't trust cruz to be fundamentally any different from rubio and I am willing to take the chance that just maybe someone who has actually done something in their life besides put them self in the position to run for president will at least try to do some of what he says he is going to do.

Sure was but he wasn't a liberal. The two weren't mutually exclusive in those days.

I've never thought a guy couldn't make some mistakes and still be a good leader? You have any idea how many business failures Trump has been a part of? That's not what disqualifies him in my book. It's all the liberal policies I have posted a dozen times that no Trump voter can give a logical answer for. It's always ignore or deflect....Just like now.

Trump has done plenty politically. It's just been almost exclusively liberal and for liberals. You have to ignore that if you're going to vote for him and you care anything for conservatism.

Rubio, Hillary, or Trump

The only one of those three that will do anything to help this country and not themselves is Trump. IMO.

This is NOT a choice between Trump and Cruz. Cruz is out. He is NOT likable enough to win this thing. He is also in the exact same "birther" fight as Obama and the media will pile on him in October like you have never seen. He can't overcome the media like Trump can. He just doesn't have the swagger.

To me the people on this site continually trying to tear down Trump are doing everything that they can to put Hillary in the white house and possibly Obama on the supreme court. That will destroy this country forever. If Trump sucks we can correct that next election. If Hillary wins we are DONE. If Hillary wins our country will be no more. Bye, bye 2nd amendment, abortions will be legal until the baby is crying, the internet will be taxes, there will be no free speech on the internet.

I am not in love with Trump, not be a long shot, but I know that he is better for this country than Rubio or Hillary.

Everyone climbing on their soap box, patting themselves on the back, claiming that they are going to write in Cruz are too dumb to realize that they are voting to destroy this country FOREVER. Or until we can get more votes on the supreme court with a conservative in the white house. That may never happen again with the problems that our country will face with Hillary in charge.

You guys can climb up on your little mountain and blast me, but I can swallow my pride and do what I think is best considering my circumstances. I would like for this country to still be here one day when I have a grand kid. This is bigger than me.

I just couldn't disagree with you more. Ya'll go ahead and pull the lever for Trump, if he wins I'm staying home in November. I won't be a party to putting a liberal in office, a democratic party liberal or a republic party liberal.

Got some news for you trump lovers, he will not beat hilladabeast. The clinton machine will destroy trump with all of the skeletons in his closet and laying around his room(you know the ones that are right there out in the open but the koolaide drinkers are too blind to see). If anything all of you trump supporters are going to give the white house back to the clintons, after all look what she has gotten by with thus far.

Uh ok. You don't think he doesn't have plenty of dirt on them? I think plenty of crap has been thrown at Trump anyway and none of it has done any damage.

One more thing Jat50, I'm sure you already know this but I'm not trying to convert you into a Cruz voter. I'm not even trying to discourage you from voting for Trump. I actually like talking about politics and it isn't personal, for me. This is a very interesting election with several aspects that no pundit or no one person can say for sure what will happen. Lots of things that are defying conventional thinking going on in this one. I don't hold how anyone decides to vote against them but I do like asking questions to try and figure out what makes someone think Trump is a viable choice given his past. I don't think you and I either one have taken personal shots but I know this discussion has rubbed several people wrong. I'd like to say I haven't gotten a little amused by some of the ones that have been irritated by it but I can't. grin

Trump is being used to split the republican vote, when the time comes they will destroy him.

Thank the Lord and all of those who have fought for our country, we all live in a place where we have the option to fight amongst ourselves over who represents us. Alot of the people in the world will never have that option/luxury.

Ya'll aren't ever gonna change Jat50, based on what I've seen of his posts, he's a liberal and gonna like Trump for that very reason. The same reason you're seeing so many liberal leaning areas going big for Trump.

The fact that he hates the one person who's been staunchly conservative his entire life says volumes.

Nobody is changing anyones mind. Bottom line is if you aren't comfortable with Trump, stay home in November if he is the nominee. It's not gonna matter who gets in office between Trump/Hillary/Sanders. Nope, not one bit.

It's going to take four more years of idiocy to get Republicans to forget about being republican and start being conservative.

I'm voting for Donald Trump because he's a smart and successful man and not a politician. I know what politicians will do because I've seen it my whole life. They make their living by telling voters what they want to hear. If Trump is not being truthful with the voters it won't be anything different than what we've seen in the past. I'm giving Trump a chance. If someone else wins the nomination, I'll vote for them.
I'm a angry white man who likes what Donald Trump says!

What do you do for a living Bart? Do you realize that Cruz actually claims the educated and successful vote of republicans, and trumps foundation is blue collar votes? Are you saying that people who are statistically much more "successful" in life, feel unsuccessful when trump spouts his campaign jargon? Trump was handed the equivalent of 4-5million as a kid to get started. Since then he has screwed other people out of $4billion. I don't see any spectacular feat, and he's not worth $10 billion.

When it is nut cutting time:

Hilary Clinton ( )
Donald Trump (X)

He might not be my first choice (Cruz), but if he is the only choice that might beat the Hildabeast then he will get my vote.
