I honestly don't know how a Trump presidency would play out. In one sense, there are many unknowns. On the plus side, he has done something that many of us have wanted to see happen to the Republican party. For years, they have ignored those of us only asking them to do what they promised when put into office. Every time the argument was made to them, they responded only with more empty promises or trying to sell us on their brand of conservatism. Using Bradley Byrne as an example, he claims to be against amnesty, Planned Parenthood, and other Obama favorites, but several times voted to fund them. His excuse? Shutting down the federal government could hurt them on election day {even though the Republicans took the majority in Congress AFTER a shutdown). Sadly, even a Democratic win still doesn't hurt establishment Republicans in DC. It's still business as usual for them, just a little less power.

I've watched this political theater for years, and I feel a Rubio presidency will only be more of what we've seen in the past. He'll make some promises, but in the end, someone in the party will steer him in the "right" direction if he goes against the establishment party members. Trump may or may not do this, as well as Cruz, who is also despised by many in the party.

At my age, with what I've seen over the years, I'll take a chance on Cruz first, Trump if he ends up with the nomination. If Rubio gets nominated, I'll write in Cruz. No shows at the polls can be dismissed by the party next time they push a McCain, Romney or Rubio on us where write ins are tangible evidence we're not buying what they're selling anymore.
