Buried my rig yesterday and had to leave it overnight. A guy pulled it out this afternoon with a 15,000 lb. winch.

Hopefully you didn't tear anything up getting it out.

That's a real bad feeling to have to leave it overnight. I once had to leave one stuck in a field for 3 weeks.

I have gotta say though, that I have never tried to grade a river before. smile

I have never tried to grade a mud road before. Wait till it dries and crown it to the middle and you will be good to go.

I figured folks would like these pics. Everything seems to be ok and operating as normal. I wasn't grading the road. I had to twist the blade because it was contacting the ground at that angle. What a mess and I'm glad it's over.

Looks like you could have used the bucket to push your self back? That's how I got my track loader out today. I was pushing up privet around a creek and it sunk up to the floor board when I went to back up

Word of advice, dont leave your keys in your tractor. Because when the son of a friend comes down to fill the feeders and gets his jeep stuck in the middle of a 120 acre pasture they will go get that tractor and get it stuck.

Got the word yesterday that happened to my International 986, all 12,000 pounds of it. Rear axle sitting on the ground.

Looks like I will be trying the wood on the wheels trick from that video... I had someone try to sell me a winch off of a rollback dumpster truck that had a bad motor. It was a 30,000 winch. I think Ill give him a call. Has anyone ever heard of putting a winch on a tractor?

We put winches on our 95 horse 4wheel drive Kubota's. We had to have them and 100ft of chain for cutting the pipelines for gas companies. You talk about nasty. If you put a hydraulic winch on a tractor like a roll back you better have a good bumper because something is gonna break.

On my 2wheel drive John Deere after getting stuck several times in the middle of nowhere all by myself I have figured an easy way to get it out. I run a chain through the wheel and hook it back to itself and hook the other end of the chain to a tree. Very slowly ease off the clutch and let the wheel roll the chain up and pull itself out. I wish I had thought of this all the times I was stuck instead of bringing in abunch more crap to get stuck.
