Heading out of camp in Barbour County. A brisk 26 degrees and still no sign of rut activity. Finally saw a broken up buck but passed on him. Hope to see an 8 point or better or a mature doe. Good luck to all.

saw 11 this morning. 2 bucks chasing does. one was a tweener 8 point that most people in the state would have shot but I've passed him up a couple times already this year so hopefully my neighbor want shoot him this afternoon. Can't wait to see what makes it for next year. Now on to the good part of the year... TURKEY SEASON!

GREAT DAY TO CLAP BOYS !!!! Or throw rocks and kick logs. Below thirty, high blue skies and brisk North winds. Find a South slope in a cutover, let them get curious for about 5 or 10 minutes and they will be there sunning.....BUCKS and DOES...........

These last few days for you south region hunters have been brutal wind wise.I dont feel like I've missed out on anything under those condtions.Good luck to all still out there.
