but I need some new footwear for the upcoming season. My recent experiences are that Rocky boots have gone downhill since they moved production to Mexico. My old Bearclaws were great boots and I got a few good years out of my last pair but they didn't hold up like the old ones. I got two seasons out of a pair of Danner Jackals but now the stitching and glue is coming undone.
I want an uninsulated boot for turkey hunting. They're harder to find than you think. I was contemplating a pair of the Meindl sold by Cabela's. Anybody got any experience with those or Under Armour boots?

I have a pair of heavy insulated UA boots got 2 seasons in em but not alot of miles so can't really say. I have 2 pairs of Danners and really like them, might try contacting customer service see if they will help with your jackals. Have a pair of Irish Setters that wore good this year also.

I have a pair of un-insulated Irish Setters that I bought at Gander Mountain last summer for $80. Original price was $189. Haven't had them long enough to tell how long they may last, but they are damn comfortable. I've used them in 80 degree temps during bow season and 30 degree temps a few weeks ago and my feet were comfortable both times. I'll kn ow a lot more about their durability after I log a hundred miles chasing turkeys in a few weeks.

This will sound crazy but I can walk all day in my Lacrosse grange rubber boots. Had them for two years of tough hunting and they are still leak free and have tread on them.

I bought cabelas speed hunter boa boots and used them all deer season. Really comfortable and a breeze to put on and off. I highly recommend you taking a look .

I like the Lacrosse on flat ground. You walk right out of them on the hills I usually hunt

I've been please with Lacrosse Aeroheads the past 2 years. Snug fit to the ankle and heel but doesn't rub blisters.

I have the 18" Danner's ...(not available now)...love them... Put neatsfoot oil on the leather and - even though they are Gore-Tex, I sprayed water proofer from Lowe's on them.. I walked 9 miles in the first week I got them, ,NO issues,. ..except my tired ass!!
