I thought about making the trip to hunt with some aldeer guys but the steel shot reg ruins it for me

Bamahoo, I went "squirrel hunting" but it really ended up being a scouting trip for deer, we never saw any deer.
Beadlescomb why does that ruin it?

Because its stupid. I hated shooting ducks at steel and don't care to shoot it at anything else that I don't have to.

That's why you shoot'em in the head with a .22. You try that hunting with dogs in public land and you'll be going home with an empty game vest

22 for us also with good optics.if you can't find them and have to shake vines,like beadlescomb said its hard to get one timbering with a rifle.I don't understand the rule steel in shotguns lead in rifles what's the difference.

I'll carry a .22 on private land that doesn't get hunted but our national forest squirrels are so wild I'd have probably only killed 10 this year with a .22 vs 238 with shotguns
