I don't really know egzactly what y'all are talking about but I think it's rediculus to run someone one off over bs Should not be such a big deal & let someone bother you that much. It's just a forum, just talk!!!

I'd also hate to think he'd leave aldeer just because some folks who have spent a whole lot of their livelihood studying and creating habitat for wild turkeys would take time to point out to him that there was a better than marginal chance that his logic could be flawed. Nope And unless you mean Ted, I don't know anyone else that studied turkeys on this site. You lump Steve in there too, just by pure dollars spent

Snowman these guys make a living doing game management. They come here and give their knowledge freely. Members here that kill deer think they are as qualified as these guys and they often call them idiots and argue. The qualified experts get tired of it, you can understand that. They get tired of beating their heads on stone.

There is always a political agendy working in any environment that could cause you a conflict you are unaware of especially in our great US of A! Even when you have the best intentions big money will try to control you in there own way and succeed unfortunately most of the time. Great to have professionals on site that least ask for opinions and give you theirs even though we might not like it. Lot in between the lines too we don't see!

Did somebody send him some nasty PM's or something? I hope not but I'd also hate to think he'd leave aldeer just because some folks who have spent a whole lot of their livelihood studying and creating habitat for wild turkeys would take time to point out to him that there was a better than marginal chance that his logic could be flawed. Hate to see him leave but it's his choice. Surely that couldn't be it.
Do you want to hear him gobble, or do you want to kill him.

It's just another form of internet bullying. People get online where they are somewhat anonymous and think they can act like total jerks. It's a very similar dynamic to when people are in their cars.
I guess a lot of time people's true character comes out in situations like that and it's a shame when knowledgeable people leave a site, because other folks can't be civil and polite.
This happens all the time on social media and I have left other forums because I just got tired of the same kind of crap. I don't know Matt or know of the incident, but it that is the case I can hardly blame him.
Civility and good manners are becoming lost in society these days and it's a damn shame.

It's a great loss of knowledge. Plus loss of a good man. This site is going to miss him

I'll confirm... He Gone. Long time coming. After tonight I am strongly considering it as well. I re-read the whole discussion on the turkey thread, and nothing there warrants this on a personal level. However - I completely understand if it's a professional issue / conflict of interest type thing. I deal with that myself because of the business I'm involved with. I have to make certain ethics decisions and I turn things down pretty regular. I got involved in an outdoor industry because I loved the outdoors, and I actually regret it sometimes because of how it limits what I can and can't do on my own time. However providing for my family and our livelihood come first and I understand that fully. We've known each other a long time Brady but we're in two different shoes. Often when Matt and I are on here we are fielding questions related to work. Time we aren't getting paid for. We are doing it to benefit the people of this site. All to often we are then drug into arguments or criticized for the info we gave whether it be our profei opinions or facts. I can't point to another profession of the top of my head where most folks knows more than the professional. And it wasn't just that thread, that one topped it off I guess. He needs to spend more time with his wife and 3 kids anyway. Nighthunter, didn't Matt get a promotion, or new responsibilities? He told me he would be right here a week or so ago. He obviously got tired of something, or he wanted to put in more family time. I hope it wasn't something that went down in Montgomery that caused this. BIGTIME LOSS We are going to miss Matt "voice of reason" Brock. Don't you go anywhere, Nighthunter.

Matt will be missed, definitely a wealth of knowledge, and a great guy from what I've seen of him on here. Hopefully, he left on his on agenda and will be back in the future

Well I hate it. I liked Matt's posts and I like Nighthunter's too. Don't know them personally but they seem like good guys and I'd love to meet em and hang out a bit. I thought the dude that messed with Matt over the shot he put on the buck was way outside the line. I know we mess with each other and stuff but some folks just mean and maybe a little dinky dow. In situations like that it's best to do what mama always said: if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all.

I was definitely something that happened in the last 10 or less days.
It was noticed on the 15th, so it could have been a little earlier than that. Sorry.

Sand, meet vagina.
I have no clue what happened to Matt. He seems like a great guy. That being said, some of you take this chit way too serious.

Thats a real bummer. I don't know the man personally, but as someone that is new to all this hunting stuff, I sure enjoyed learning from him.

This site is getting ridiculous. Running people like Matt off? Matt was a valueable resource for this site yes, but he didn't have to be. He did it because he cared to help people. He did it because he is a good feller. Something a lot of people on here lack.
This site has gotten to where it's nothing but drama, bickering, fighting and fussing. It's getting old and played out. I feel sorry for the ones that have nothing better to do than to get on a internet site and pick on folks, start drama, call people names, and put people down. And I'm not just talking about Matt leaving. I'm talking about the attitude of this sight for the last six months. Y'all like to gripe about skinny and him banning people, "boo whoo, it's not fair" whine whine. I think skinny should be putting out more productivity and banning a few more. This site used to be full of loving people, that cared for one another. But how can you be that person, five minutes after you just cussed out someone else. Some folks on here need to make a change, not just site related, they need a change inside themselves.
Now, I hate that Matt left, he was a good person best I could tell. Nighthunter, I hope you don't leave. You seem like a good feller too. Just ignore people more. If some IDOT starts saying things you don't like, ignore them and let it go. I have to do that on here every single day. There's still some great fellers on here, it's just getting harder to find them

Dang, what'd I miss now? I guess I'm always a day late on this stuff. You know why? I'm in the woods hunting, spending time with my family/friends, at church or working. I check Aldeer ever day or two but it doesn't consume me. It isn't my LIFE. The folks that like to run their pie hole, and make folks mad to the point of leaving could stand to find a few more meaningful things to fill their lives with.

I agree Hevi. It wouldn't hurt my feelings if here was another cull. Some folks just can't seem to help themselves from trying to start an argument or create drama. I guess when real life isn't going so well for some of these folks, they take their frustrations out on the internet.

I'll confirm... He Gone. Long time coming. After tonight I am strongly considering it as well. If you leave, pm your phone number to me so I can ask people who really know their stuff questions. Too many on here are experts and have no idea what is going on. I really am glad I got to hear what you and Matt Brock had to say. You both are great folks and know your stuff. You have no idea how much I gained from your postings. I also remember BSK and Bamaproud well. They simply took their toys and went home. I really can't blame them.
I can't stand a thief.
