Hard to beat Does. I lived in Greenville for a couple of years. I have had a bunch of Does steaks. Go on a weeknight. It's better cause they aren't so busy. Don't worry about your truck they have an armed guard. Beer cooler is on the right when you walk in...its self serve. They will count your empty bottles at the end of the night.

Beechwood Restaurant and Lounge in Vicksburg, Mississippi. I was working on a power plant over there years and years ago and I still remember the steaks we had there. There was this big black dude grilling steaks in the glass enclosure [I assume to keep it from smoking up the place] and there were hand cut steaks in a glass case in front of him. You went up and picked out the steak you wanted cooked and told them how you wanted it.

He ladled melted butter on it and seared it on the hottest part of the grill and then cooked it just like you ordered.

The place looks like a hole in the wall from the outside. It looks like it has been there for a long time.

Is that place still open? I heard the owner was serving time for beating his girlfriends dog with a garden hose.

He did and he's out. He closed the Anniston store and opened one in Heflin at Exit 199.

Yep, Conastoga is the best I've had. Go there whenever I can. $18 ribeye with sides.
