I have a very hard time going to a restaurant for a steak because I know what they cost.I don't go out for steak very often.I would rather enjoy mine at home and go out to eat for other things. My thoughts exactly. I'm thinking i've heard that it cost $100 for a meal with your wife at Ruth Chris. To me, thats ridiculous. My neighbor has cows and cuts up his own beef and ages them for 21 days. I talked to him about buying some thick ribeyes from him and cooking them myself.

The steaks my wife buys for us to grill are $20/ea. Keen's in NYC was about as good as I've had. I got the "legendary" Mutton, but I tried the steak off of my wifes plate. The two best steaks I have ever had.
1. Emerils in Orlando (Bone in Ribeye lightly drizzled with real Balsamic Vinegar that had been reduced).
2. Some unnamed hole in the wall bar in an unknown part of Kansas. Unfortunately it was late in the evening and I had been driving since 11 pm the previous day from picking up n2deer in Manhattan, Kansas then heading to Nebraska. We stopped in some little town and ate a Ribeye that would make you slap yo momma.

If you want a good steak to cook at the house and you live in Chilton county go to B's market in Clanton they have very good steaks he has some bone in ribeyes he dry ages that can't be beat!!

Angelo's Steak Pit in Panama City Beach, FL Love me some Angelo's Steak Pit. My wife says it's nasty and won't go but my brother and I love it. Been in the same location since the 60s and I swear the booths, carpets and waitresses are all still original.

You can get a Peppercrusted Ribeye at J. Alexander's in Bham that is mighty fine. I always ask the chef to put a Cajun sear on it as well. Pretty dang good.
Typically, I would take one of my own off the grill over most restaurants.
