You basically funded a start up. Figure up the cost of the interest on the money you gave them for 6 months and add that in to what you paid and that's what that cost you!

Given the fact that rates are about 1.05% on most saving accounts and the rate of inflation ol hootowl probably made a good investment. Ain't that a hoot! Trading futures on coolers. Man I love the ol USA

I went ahead and ordered one, because the dimensions match my boat seat perfectly.

I'm glad to hear ya'll are getting them. I was talking with somebody about it not long ago and we both figured they used the money on pre-orders to set up the company. It's a great plan and a win for both parties if it works but it's a big gamble.

I ordered my tan 65 in october. I checked about a month ago, and my tentative ship date was like 2/20. I'll be interested to see if they're any good. Ive had a few yeti coolers over the years, and they are tough to beat. Only reason i dont still have a yeti is it got stolen from my truck. Forgot to lock it after a trip, and it didnt last a week unlocked. Let us know what you think after your trial run with it.

I've enjoyed mine so far. It's been cold so no real test but it's served the purpose. Like everyone else I don't like the way they handled business but I stuck it out and I'm happy I did.

Ill let everyone know my thoughts when I get the cooler. In short, I wanted a yeti 65, but couldnt see $400 plus tax. worth the wait to me, all the reviews on RTIC cooler so far are positive. The business model is frustating, but most likely will work for them..

IF anyone is considering ordering one. I measured a Yeti and the RTIC side by side, all of the measurements i.e. wall thinkness, top thinkness are identical . Latches are the same, pretty much RTIC has the exact copy of the yeti. I wanted awhile to get it, but I thinks it will be worth it...

I was going to order their equivalent of the yeti coozie thing but had second thoughts after reading about the delays in shipping coolers. Don't think I want to chance giving these people my money.

You would likely be paying with a credit card so you would be getting it back. Yes it might be a hassle but you wouldn't be writing the money off.

I read where Yeti had filed a bunch of infringement lawsuits against them...wonder if that had anything to do with the delays in shipping?
