I'm siting in a creek bottom that bucks like to cruise this time of year. Warmer, and more windy than expected which for me usually make for a frustrating sit. Who knows maybe I'll get lucky for once.

On freedom hills wma this morning. Sitting in some thick cutover, watching an open bottom. Seen a spike and what looked to be a small 4 or 6 point already. Wind is in my face and it's cold. Hoping a big one will ease through here. Good luck fellas.

At the Russell Co. lease again today watching some thinned out pines. Saw a doe and 2 fawns just after daylight. Weather man said gusts of 10 to 12, he was wrong. Think it's closer to 20. This tree is like riding the tilt a whirl at the county fair.
What you do today, you have to sleep with tonight.

I wussed out here in walker county ...got to my tree climbed around 40ft then the wind hit me in my face and I immediately climbed back down and came and got in the shooting house
