I ain't going Home Alone Today......
Story:
New club. First year in. Started scouting back in August and got some pics of this deer. He's very peculiar to cameras and I finally found one hat didn't spook him. I moved the camera around til I found what I was looking for, consistent movement along a trail that comes from his bedding area to where he likes to access a flat. I only hunted this deer 3 times. This is the oldest deer I had on camera on this club, so I knew he was wise enough to recognize and not tolerate much pressure. I spooked him one bow hunt when I grabbed my bow and knocked my pack out of my stand with it. He never smelled me, so I just laid low til now. I have not hunted this spot since thanksgiving. I saw a good buck walk across the road last night on my way in from work. I checked the wind and it was right for my stand this morning, so I figured I'd give it a shot. At first light I could hear deer running around me, when it finally got where I could see he was chasing a doe. The rest is history. I'm just waiting til 9 am now so I don't mess any other folks hunting up while driving out the property since I am at the back.
