Here's the answer straight from Cruz. Bottom line, he had longstanding commitments to be in New Hampshire and he knew the bill wasn't going to pass. The vote failed by 7 votes, so what good would it have done for him to be there? He cosponsored the bill which shows his support of auditing the fed.

I'm as big a Cruz supporter as anyone on this site but that isn't a good excuse. He should have been there, bottom line. He's still the best choice by far but he needs to stand behind the bills that he has sponsored.

So, if I already know how the election is going to turn out, I don't need to vote? One vote doesn't matter? Is his job to show up to vote or campaign? I hope you guys don't have to learn the hard way he is just another politician. Maybe the best choice of all the politicians running but still a politician no less.

I have to call complete bs on that one right there. There is some smelly stuff in there somewhere. No one decides to be gay. A person may decide to hide it because the culture in the place they live is not at all understanding, so they can earn a living and not be treated like absolute crap, etc. but they are either gay or not. No decision process there.

When, exactly, did you decide to be straight?

Ha ha okay man I not a gay expert that's just one persons story that I witnessed. That's the problem people are crazy, some choose some weird lifestyles, you beleive one way I beleive another fine by me, just not for me or my family.

Sorry for the thread misdirection. Back to why Cruz did not vote. I hope someone calls him on it in the next debate.

I'm with you Bill. I wish that he had shown up to vote...that's what the people of Texas elected him to do, not campaign for President.

Ben2, they better call Rubio on his not showing up to vote against the $1.1 trillion spending bill too. I agree that it's a valid question to ask both Cruz and Rubio.

My apologies as well. I agree wholeheartedly, it was his bill - he should have been there to vote.

I'd rather relive the Bush days than have Bernie as president. I'd rather have pretty much any president in our history again than have a communist. Well, I'd have to think hard if it were the current one as the option. That would be the epitome of a dilemma.

Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

I don't hate anyone for their way of life but refuse to accept it as normal and show it to my kids as okay when it is not. I hope they all have a change of heart one day.

I appreciate the civilized debate... But man you think a wall is gonna prevent wackos from killing? I dont get that? Gay people dont just have a change of heart and decide not to be gay anymore. Iv explained on here before gay people dont just run around trying to get people to be gay. Nobody just wakes up one day and says damn id really like to stop having sex with women today, because i think dudes look good. I think what your issue with the gay and wall stuff is a lack of understanding no offense or anything. I would venture to say you havent been around many if any gay people or mexicans. Also what is the gay agenda?

How is Bernie a communist? Other than free college and universal healthcare which would both be great but we are to broke to afford. What else do you know about him? YAll keep saying that and throwing out the word socialist communist but I seriously doubt yall have any clue about what he stands for.

Bernie Sanders is not a communist. He is a centrist socialist.

Quote:
At the core of the speech was Sanderss argument that his version of democratic socialism is a twenty-first century updating of Franklin Roosevelts New Deal. As Sanders pointed out, all of the elements of the New Deal that most Americans take for granted today social security, minimum-wage laws, collective bargaining were initially condemned as socialism. Sanders could certainly do worse in terms of inspiration than Roosevelt, who, when asked about business opposition to the New Deal, answered, I welcome their hatred.

Nazism is based on socialist principles, it's often deemed a party from the far right yet uses the principles of socialism to achieve their goals.

I read two paragraphs of that and quit. That is an opinon piece from 11 years ago with very vague references. If thats what you use to argue Bernie being a terrible candidate your proving my point for me.
I really wish folks would actually educate themselves about the candidates on both sides. You would be surprised what you find when you have an open mind. But this is coming from a faggot libtard bammer so what do I know

We're pretty much a socialist Country now.

You don't own anything of value.

Simply do not pay your taxes on that property and see how long you actually own it.

You quit reading cause you are not open to anything but your view.

That 's because you're young and full of hope and change.

Go start a business all by yourself, no one gives you anything to get started and then see how you view things after a few years.
