The entire referee crew should be suspended!! They cost Clemson a national championship. The onside kick was a huge missed call. You'll hear more about it in the next few days Please enlighten us as to what call was missed Talk radio said this morning Dabo was screaming that the Clemson player has to be given an opportunity to catch the ball. However, that is only the case if the Clemson player waves fair catch which he didn't do. In fact, there wasn't a Clemson player anywhere near the ball. Therefore it was a live ball for the Bama player to catch. I don't remember it but supposedly this happened in a Bama/South Carolina game where Saban ran the same play. Difference was the SC player waved fair catch and the Bama player caught it anyway. SC ball in that scenario. IDK, just what I heard on Jox Opening Drive.

If it were a normal onside kick where the ball hits the ground first, then Clemson would not have even had an option to call for the fair catch. Alabama knew the Clemson player had not been looking for the ball on the other kickoffs and called the pooch kick. Great call that was probably the difference in the game.

I was thinking the same thing Brent. Figured they would have already pulled the trophy from Bama and parked it in Clemson by now.

Any idea when we are gonna hear more about it? We are on pins and needles.  Especially since the onside kick was textbook, even when put under the microscope afterwards a million times on ESPN.
