Congrats on the catches!

Pretty fox Charlie!

Northbama that's a trophy possum. Lol!

Jon good thing the bulldog was friendly.

I took the day off. Almost. I did pull the 5 traps I had out here for Amanda but didn't set a trap today.
Spent the day deer hunting and playing with my girls!

I caught a big yellow lab a few weeks ago. He just layed there. Even after I let him loose he wouldn't run off. I had a few more to check and when I got back he was gone. I hate catching dogs. He had jammed the trap levers some how and I got my hammer out to try and release them to let him out and layed my hammer down and picked it back up and grabbed a handful of dog crap that I had layed the hammer in. That hammer still stinks.

Congrats Jon! As many coyotes as you've caught there the reds should start showing back up. At least their fur is worth a few bucks.

About to eat breakfast and head out to set beaver traps. Lots of ground, or should I say water to cover today and tomorrow.

We have been catching coons in a live trap at my moms house. I took a huge boar off Sunday morning. That made 13 in the last several months. She called this morning and said she had another one bigger than the last. I get over there and its gone. It literally tore a hole in the trap and climbed out. The door was bent on it where the coon was pressing against it to get out of the hole it chewed. Must have been one bad arse coon.

Guess I need to get some DP's now.

A big coon can tear up just about anything if it wants to.

I have caught 7 in the last couple weeks. I just use different lures on each set. I mainly use Government call, Cavens all predator, feline fix, and some others I cant remember. I really need to start logging what I have on each set, so I can see what works best.

Greys aren't picky. Gland lures or curiosity lures will pull them in.

Got 20 water sets out and 9 dp coon traps out so maybe we can contribute tomorrow. One of the ponds we went to set was all out in the woods because the beavers had the overflow and spillway culverts dammed up. We opened up the culverts and fenced it in with conibears. If we can get the water back down in a day or two maybe we can set it up and get rid of the beavers.

I would like to come down and run your water sets with you Hank, when I get some time off. Haven't been getting much off time lately.

I've caught the grays on fox hollow gh2, Tom Miranda high plains predator call, some red fox gland lure from a friend in Indiana, and a coyote gland lure from my friend from Indiana.

i use a rotation of diff'rent lures and baits. seems to work. i'm not trapping one certain predator, trapping all.

just being real particular about setting the trap correctly.

I caught a coon and a double on coyotes this morning. I wish it would have been daylight so I could have got a better picture of the coyotes.
