As suggested above, I've carried a sleeping bag for my son on cold days and it kept him plenty warm.

You need to lock her down with a ring first. I'm surprised no one has asked you if she had a sister....lol Seriously though, get quality base layers for the cold weather and a good pair of boots for her. Good luck.

Icebreakers 300 weight Merino Wool base layers are a good start. They are expensive but hold up well and will give years of service if taken care of.

Make sure to get one of the thin moisture wicking socks to put on first to transfer the moisture to the warmer pair of socks. I have found this gives me quite a bit more warmth. I think mine are duofold brand. I'm sure there are other good ones.

explain, what kind of thin socks? and how do you know if they are moisture wicking?

I always just wear 2 pair of merino wool socks on super cold days.

Build that girl an air tight shooting house with flip up windows and put her a heater in there. If you build it the right size there are other options to staying warm that I will not mention.

All you have do do is get some socks you would play tennis or sports with that are dry-fit or moisture wicking...it will say on the sock pack...smart wool socks are expensive but absolutely amazing

Interesting, thanks. I'll go look today. I wear nice wigwam boot socks everyday for work but I don't think they are like you are talking about.

what i use:

smart wool socks with liner - women's light or heavy hikers with liner socks included (they now have hunt light and heavy crew socks according to website)

under armour 3.0 (they now have 4.0)

if it's really cold and will be sitting still, i use fleece wader pants. if not so cold, just a pair of jeans.

women's redhead insulated bibs or browning insulated bibs

sweatshirt

cabelas outfitter berber fleece pullover with windshear (it's a man's jacket but women just order one size smaller). the jacket is better than the pullover. you will toast in these things.

if it's raining, i cover with bass pro 100 mph suit with liner and ditch the pullover and bibs

balaclava mask or watch cap depending on wind

Bass pro carriers a brand specifically made for women. I bought my wife boots, bibs and a jacket. I believe the boots are 1000 gram and the jacket and bibs are waterproof, warm and quiet.

Other than that layers and I would agree about the Marion wool

My wife loves to hunt but gets cold easy. so I bought her a complete set of under armour thermals and outer wear. with thermacell heated insoles in her boots. but she still wants a heater and a shooting house.

I think it's SHE Outdoors. That's what my wife wears, and getting clothes that actually fit her instead of hand-me-downs has made a huge difference. She has the bibs and a jacket and layers according to temperature. Also has Muck Woody Max boots (with pink accents ). She doesn't like wearing gloves though, so she has one of those waist band hand muffs with a few hot hands in it. Also, she uses an Under Armour ear warmer thing.

My wife had the same problem so I bought her a buddy heater and she loves it.

Give her 200 dollars and tell her to go shopping. You will enjoy your day hunting much more and in the long run it will be cheaper.

Merino wool base layer, quality, wind proof, outer layer, what you put between them really doesn't matter. Polypro liner sock, then a medium to heavy wool. I wear heavy pack boots, like the sled mushers wear in Alaska , I'm sure some for ladies can be had. For hands a muff/tube is the only way to go. Wear light gloves with the trigger finger cut out and a hot hands in the muff.
