I'm not saying there arent 200 pounders out there. My point was more that 200lbs is kinda that number that everyone wants their "mature" bucks to weigh, and with out putting it on a scale would venture to guess that most over exaggerate. Kinda like saying oh yeah he was a 4.5 year old with out really knowing.
I think what you are trying to say is correct. People are really bad at guessing weights. I saw one weighed over Christmas that was 125 live weight 2 year old. Most guesses beforehand were over 150. Pretty common mistake.
However -wanting a mature buck to weigh over 200 to be considered mature is a different discussion. That's unrealistic as far as age management is concerned. A lot of bucks will live and die of old age and never weigh that much.
