ILL GIVE YA WHAT LEFT OVER FLOORING I GOT.. 3 1/2 BOXES You non measuring basterd..Jughead I ain't completely ruled out a 2.5x8x36.I had one on an Abolt 7mag and I just damn loved that scope but since I've went to 50mm+ objectives its gonna be hard to go back to a 36mm.I found a silver Varix III 3.5x10x50 for $449 that I'm really considering but was gonna see if anybody had a 42 or 44mm before I done anything. May go check Marks this weekend and see what used scopes they got.

For whatever reason, they are lighter across the board for comparable objective sized scopes. You don't want to heavy/unbalance that fine, trim little rifle too awful much.

Ended up with a silver Leupold Varix III 3.5x10x50..Morris(inconsolable Dickhead) went by Marks and picked it up for me today along with a set of stainless Leupold rings but they didn't have the base.Im ready to get it all together and try it on a deer before the season goes out.

Congrats Trox28. I have used the SS Model 7, 7mm08 for the last 21 years. I got a laminated stock to replace the plastic, put a Leupold VX III (silver) 2.5 x 8 on it, and have never looked back. The 2.5 x 8 works for me in the southeast. I did finally use some camo tape to tone it down and protect the scope from any minor scratches. It has served me well.
