Look. I'm not trying to criticize anyone on the actual shot they took. I'm responding to the fact that deer that drop, then get up and leave, are very rarely recovered, and even dog trackers will agree with me. I don't care about your opinion on the shots I take. If I can see a deer, then I can kill it (within a reasonable distance), and I have yet to lose a deer I shot in the rear end. I swear some of you people would criticize a newborn just because they can't argue back.

Yep. I haven't taken a shot like you did, not because it's a bad shot, but because I just don't know how. I took a friend of mine hunting early on in the TN season on some public land and he shot one on the butt from 20 yards with a samic sage recurve and it ran 50 yards and died. Amazing what those shots can do! It was a 100 inch 8 point and he couldn't have been happier!
