With the NORTH wind and sunshine it's time to hit the cutover with SOUTH facing ridges. The deer will bed on these hills to collect the sunlight for warmth and cover for security. Get on the top of the ridges and just stand still and silent for about ten minutes and then clap your hands 5 times and they will pop up. If you keep walking they will just let you go by. Thanks guys, He was working a scrape just before I shot him, he is busted up petty good and his neck and face are really scared up. I don't know what he weighs, as I don't have any scales that big. I can tell you that it was ALL I could do to load him up on the 4 wheeler. I am 6'2/280 and was standing up on the back rack of my Polaris and like to have not pulled him up the fender pocket/step onto the back rack. Wife took a pic of him hanging up with his nose touching the ground and he is as long as I am tall.
I will be doing a Euro mount and keeping the cape.
