Here's the scenario. Property is mixed hardwoods and pines. The pines are in scattered stands from 5- 50 acres and approximately 30 yr old first generation Weyerhaeuser pines. They've been thinned but are starting to have a problem with pine beetles. What would be the best management plan for land like this? The primary goals would be maximum short and long term wildlife benefits and hunting.
