I appreciate your thoughts about my dad,man it is tough to go through especially this time of year,or any time at all.But we all got to go one day.Now about deer im not nocking you or your team ,im talking about everybody in general.I know its fun to kill a deer.but there are way to many hunters out there that shoot if its brown its down.then they most of them just take the deer to the processer and donate them to the hungry.that would be ok ,but the processor,s that I know of dont just give deer meat away,they charge the normal fee which is around $60 .I dont think they ,the processor donates nothing to nobody.they even keep the hides and sell them for tanning.and if you kill a small racked deer and dont keep the horns ,they sell them for jewlery,medicine,kniges and other stuff.I know this because I asked one if I could have acouple deer hides to train my bloodhounds with,and he said no he had someone that picks them up.and yes people do eat deer meat like you said.but it dont take 10 deer to do so.man I used to join 2 clubs,pius the land I hunt now and I would avarge 20 yo 25 deer year,theres people on here that know me that would back that up.but I had a bad accident back in 2012 ,that changed my life,no money for clubs,so have to hunt what I have ,so then thats when I backed of killing every deer I saw,because when you hunt your own land you can see the impact,on killing does and small bucks. But i do agree with one thing it is way better to kill a 5 point or small buck than to kill a doe.good luck.
