Lee Co. was a bust this morning so I drove to my Russell Co lease. Thermometer in the shootin house says 79 degrees but a lone doe walked out just as soon as I got sat down. Hoping for the best. At least they can't see me wiping sweat.

Fixing to head back in. Gonna sit with my 11 year old son and watch our little field  Looks like you got the leaf blower out? Weren't you have shade issues early this year

Sitting in greenfield which has had a lot of does in it. Already have 3 bumpheads, a doe, and another one I couldn't identify, in the field. I caught sight of it as rearend was half in field, and front half in woods leaving. Been here since 1:00. First I've seen all day.   God Bless, David B.

Got a little chasing going on here. Couple of small bucks pushing a doe around. Maybe big boy will hear them and come join in on the fun.

Finally fot the deer up from the bottom and into truck about 3:30, 172 lb 5 point that we have seen over the last two years, he just never developed. Glad to have him I will post a pic and maybe a video in just a minute

Had a spike come in and chase 3 of the 5 out of the field. 4 more returned, then a large 4 point came in and chased 2 more out of the field.
No shooters, but it was great to be in the woods.
