I agree 100%. Everyone always says the deer belong to the people not the property owner. If they want a crop damage permit then there should be some minimum requirements on making an effort to reduce them during deer season. If those deer belong to "me", "Joe Taxpayer", then I have a problem with them being treated that way.


There's plenty of farmers that will tell the State they better come get their deer off his property. I heard two this afternoon say they wish there wasn't any, and one of them hunts. You can't make a landowner allow hunting.

No you can't but they could just quit giving them the permits. Then let the farmers decide whether they want to make a little money by leasing to hunters and let them reduce the deer population or let the deer eat the crops. The decision would be theirs. There should be no such thing as the predation permits.....
