I'd rather have a filet than either but a bone in ribeye is a good steak. Truthfully, I'd rather have a good back strap than any steak.

If I agreed with you, we'd both be wrong.

Ribeye.Bone in or boneless .Well marbled.A flat iron steak and you wont eat another ribeye but they are hard to get.

Ribeye for me. Just don't let your wife soak it in A1 though.

Both are dang good, but if I HAD to make a choice I'd lean to the ribeye due to the flavoring the fat gives to the steak.

I like them both but given a choice it'll be a ribeye simply because of the marbling that gives it the flavor.
That'll be a choice grade too. Not select, not no roll, not utility grade but USA choice.
Got the charcoal heating right now. About to grill 16 of them here in a few. I'm grilling 15 tomorrow. All but 2 are 1 1/2 inches thick. If money wasn't an issue I like a good thick filet cooked medium rare. Gotta be cooked over hardwood lump.
The true mark of a man is not how he conducts himself during times of prosperity, but how he conducts himself during times of adversity.
