I do!!! I would wear it from head to toe if I had it. I don't trust anyone and I want to be seen.

I wear it in then take it off in the tree. Leave it on if I'm on the wma. I got shot bowhunting when I was 15. Probably wouldn't have happened if I'd been wearing some orange. My dad had dropped me off at a farm cause I was too young to drive so no car parked to tell anyone else I was there. Guy came in there bird hunting. I heard the birds get up, then a boom and then pellets raining down all around me. Heard one cutting the air for seconds then it smacked me upside head just in front of the ear. Just one pellet but it knocked my head over and blood trickled down my face. I hollered and the guy came over. He was tore up. He drove me home. Damn E/R doc left it in. My family doc, who'd been a surgeon in Nam, cut it out in his office next day. I still remember they"ting" it made when the pellet hit his tin pan. Got like 2 stitches. Coulda been a much worse deal. I was lucky. I have slipped off without orange some but it's a good idea. You just never know.

You only need it because there is always some knuckle head who doesn't positive ID what they are shooting at. ie: they just shoot what they hear or any movement.

Better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it. That phrase answers a lot of questions.

It be's that way sometimes.

I wear it the whole time I'm in the woods. I don't see what it hurts to have it on.

I had a guy slip up on a food plot I was sitting on and take a shot at a doe. Since then I wear a vest anytime I am in the woods during hunting season, even while in the stand.

Orange is not gonna stop people that do that kind of stuff.

The only hunter shooting accident I've ever worked was a guy that got shot walking out of the woods after dark with his light on.

Don't wear it. Make your own decisions. Deal with the consequences later.

I have always worn it as required, and I have never had a single instance where it spooked a deer.

People get way to caught up with camoflage deer hunting in my opinion.

All those deer hunters were just lucky prior to Crumley, Haas and Jordan coming out with camo in the mid 80s.

Exactly. If you're so pissed off about orange, just take it off. Unless you hunt public ground odds of you running into a warden are low. Every time you don't get shot, you can feel smug on your way home. Problem solved.

The fact remains it's good practice and cheap insurance against getting shot by some moron.

Think about how stupid the average person is, then realize half the population is even more stupid. That's what keeps me wearing it. It's not worth the risk of getting shot by someone and ruining both people's lives by not wearing it. It's pretty tough to miss blaze orange in the woods.
However, I don't really care if someone else doesn't wear theirs because I identify my target before pointing my gun at stuff. So, if someone doesn't feel they need it, then more power (and luck) to them.

If they see orange in the bush you'd hope it would.
If you shoot somebody after dark with them toting a light, or even shoot someone wearing blaze orange, in my opinion that's not an accident and should be prosecuted as such.

The law states that you only have to wear it while hunting. So, it's not the orange that's saving people, it's the not hunting that is. Lol
