Just saw where debris in a Holly Springs tornado is reaching 18,000 feet and as high as 23,000 feet high. Damn. Huge tornadoes there now, moving N/NE

I think the rain shield in central Bama and clouds have kept us from getting it too bad in N bama today. Doubtful. Still very unstable air, and a lot of dry air over Northwest Alabama, that will only get worse. Possibly not quite as bad as Northern Mississippi, but still very favorable for supercells and rotation. North Alabama and Middle Tennessee will have a tornado watch shortly.

Its also packing baseball and larger size hail, as if the tornado was not bad enough.

That line moving into Tennessee right now brutalized Mississippi from Clarksdale to Holly Springs. Lot of destroyed houses and businesses, power outages, vehicles turned over. Another one moving through Oxford area into NW Bammer.

Two separate tornadoes moving E-NE toward Alabama ... one path northeast of Oxford, Miss., and the other just south-southeast of Oxford.
Y'all NW Bama guys be on alert and stay safe.

This is a wedge with tornado posted on Twitter by a storm chaser. It was crossing U.S. 72 moving N-NE just west of Walnut, Miss.

Blue Mountain and Ripley Mississippi are about to get walloped as the twin storms move northeast.
Corinth is going to be right in the line of both or will be skirted, maybe, to the south, which means Iuka could get smacked.
If I lived in Waterloo, Alabama, I'd be battening the hatches now.
