I posted that I have a free left handed Pearson Pride Compound bow to give away to someone that NEEDS it. I got a PM from a guy that says:

Hey I would be interested in that bow if you still have it. My son is going to be 8 on the 27 and he's a lefty. I had one that I had got from a member on here that could be used left or right and it got stolen along with mine. I get hammered every week with child support and haven't been able to get it replaced. If you have already given it to someone that's fine.

If you want it you are welcome to it, though it's an adult bow that he won't be able to draw back for years. I bet you could sell it and get him a great youth bow. I won't get upset if you get it and post it for sale on here if you put the proceeds to your boy.

His Reply:

Ok I thought it was a youth bow It wouldn't feel right if I got it and sold it just wait
a while if no one else can use it I might get it from you.

Here we are 2 days before Christmas and This kid aint got a bow to use. It Don't seem right to me. My finances have got pretty tore up with sending my wife and boy to the Philippines and little girl to Hawaii. I am happy to donate all the proceeds of the bow to this kid if someone wants it. I will go downstairs to the garage later and see if there is something I can sell to generate money for this kid.

This Is Important! It is a Kid ((Left Handed BTW)) who's daddy wants to do right by at Christmas and just can't afford it.

I don't know you boys and I aint been here long and many may be skeptical but I am hoping we can help him.

If a more established member that everyone knows wants to handle the receipt and distribution of whatever is collected so that people don't think I am trying to take advantage of folks, I am okay with that.

I have two boxes of carbon express 26" arrows if he can use them. Im in bham but can ship if need to.

PM's are already coming in and honestly I am overwhelmed with joy. Trying to keep it together as my little girl is right here. I have a Moultrie A-5 Camera that I will throw in for the boy too. Like I said I am financially tapped out but have a garage filled with hunting stuff lol. He might enjoy checking cams with his daddy (I know mine do).

I will sell the Pearson bow and donate the money or trade it for some youth camo too and donate that although sizing can be a bit tricky for an 8 year old boy.

The dad actually moved to Guntersville and works in Cullman now.

Man, kids around Christmas really tug at my heartstrings. I want to help. I rarely carry cash but I got $20 in my wallet that I'll donate right now. The only problem is how to get it to you or whoever may live closer that could get it to him. Any firm plan for collecting money yet? I have no issue dropping it in the mail but it won't be there by Christmas.

FYI, I know nothing about youth bows but a quick Google search shows some PSE bows in the 40-50lb draw range that are in the neighborhood of $250.

How about camo? Does he need any, and if so, size? Like someone stated, I can't get it there for Christmas but will be glad to help if I can.

It's my son that needs a bow. I don't want to seem like a bum because the bow he
had was given to him by some members on here a couple of Christmas ago but it
got stolen. I can't believe all the generosity that I see from the above post.

He's fixing to be 8 but he's a big one. He has been wearing 11 and 12 stuff I think

I don't have a whole lot for youngins seeing as how I don't have any, but I do have a brand new pair of Barska 20x50mm binos that are big but the eyepieces are definitely meant for a small frame. Also have an unopened thermacell which is of course required equipment for hunting in Alabama. PM me your info if you think he'd like either/both.

This is great. I gave this bow to Honolula hoping to positively effect a child's life. I see all the members on here doing just that. I want to thank each and everyone of you. I couldn't have ask for anything more. Thank you and God bless.
