I gotta work tomorrow night here in north alabama. Told us severe thunderstorms with up to 65mph straight line wind with strong chance of tornadic activity due to the amount of rotation in the storm. We usually get updated through dispatch quicker than whats on the news and Ill get you guys updated if i get any information while at work. I hope and pray its nothing remotely close to april 27. I did search and rescue for two weeks and patrols in hackleburgh and phil campbell for a month (on my off days) due to looting. Hope i never see that again.

Don't mention April, 2011 if you don't have a clue what you're talking about. Could very well be bad tomorrow, but not comparable to that event. One tornado can still kill plenty of folks so keep the weather radio on and take cover if/when needed.

Tomorrow will be nothing like April 2011. We may never see a set up like that again and certainly not tomorrow.

Lmfao! Guess we interpret this differently. Read your last sentence. Are you viewing this event as number of tornadoes or lives lost? What matters most?

Guess you could have several small tornadoes kill just as many people as a single violent tornado. April 2011 had several F4 and greater tornadoes that could (and unfortunately did) wipe entire communities off the map.

Point I was trying to make (and sorry for coming across rudely) is the prediction from people I trust is this is not a generational event, but if you are in the path of a tornado don't be that guy trying to get a video for YouTube.

I can promise you, this is true. We went through and F-4 that leveled our community on 4/27/11 and it wouldn't have mattered if was April or December. It would've been the same experience, and it sucks!

IT ONLY TAKE ONE.. I WENT TO MOORES BRIDGE COMMNITY (TUSCALOOSA) COUNTY AFTER APRIL 27TH. THE SIGHT WAS VERY ROUGH TO TAKE IN.. EVEN WITH ALL THE DESTRUCTION THAT HAD TAKEN PLACE, THE MEMBERS OF THE COMMUNITY WERE HIGH SPIRITED, I SPENT 2 NIGHTS THERE AT THE LOCAL FIRE DEPT, HELPED CUT TREES AND EVEN RAN MEDICAL CALLS WITH THE FIRE DEPT WHILE REGULAR MEMBERS TENDED TO THEIR HOMES. THEY FED ME SOME OF THE BEST DEER STEW I HAVE EVER HAD.. ONE LOCAL EVEN WROTE ME A PERMIT TO HUNT HIS LAND AFTER A BUDDY AND I CLEARED 3 TREES OFF OF HIS HOUSE..

The rain and instability in the south part of the state I had hoped would happen to block the energy from this evening's storms is not going to happen based on the latest observations. We will be on the south edge of a strong supercell event. The tornado parameters for this evening will be strong. For tomorrow morning they will be less but still significant.

Please be aware of the developments in this evening's weather. Situational awareness may save your life or the life of others today, tonight and tomorrow morning.

If you bought a house in Meridianville there is a good chance of it being hit. We have a large magnet that draws them to that area.

NWS just upgraded west Tennessee and north Mississippi to a moderate risk, from the map it looks like part of extreme west Alabama might be in it as well. You fellas over towards Florence and the shoals better keep an eye close to the tv this afternoon. My inlaws from Waynesboro are leaving at lunch today headed back home, think I am going to make them stay another night or tell them if they have to go home to get headed that way.

We are not perfect, only forgiven!!!

Just had a bad storm come through central Baldwin county. Reports of trees down in mobile county.

Which direction will these storms be moving and what time will they be expected to be in Alabama?
