Not a huge deal but I got hosed by Duckshooter. He posted a 410 for 100 bucks Tuesday morning around 430 am. I replied to thread and and texted him Tuesday at around 7ish am telling him I would take it. Guy posted a little later...beat me too it. All good so I thought, I told him where I lived and I would meet him in Clanton. He told me he worked in Alabaster...didn't get off until 630ish PM, I told him I could not meet on Tuesday night because my son plays basketball for Faulkner and he had a game, but any other night was good. His reply verbatim ...I have the text messages "Ok"...next message "No Problem" implying he didn't have a problem waiting to meet up. I texted him yesterday at around 1:30 PM saying hey I can meet tonight...let me know...etc...no reply until today at 5:27 pm...hey the 410 sold already. I told him dude you did me wrong, I called him a jackass...etc.
He told me I never promised to hold it for you...yep he is right, nor did he tell he wasn't willing to wait when he implied it was OK to wait.
I understand, times are tough, he may not have wanted to drive 25 miles to exit 205 for a 100 dollar gun. No biggie...
Just wanted to warn folks...I have the whole text trail in images which validates the conversation as I am sure he will get on here and blast me...and I am OK with that cuz I wouldn't buy a blade a grass from him.
I have bought and sold...and given a good deal of stuff away on here...first time I have been burned, guess I am glad it wasn't something more expensive.
If someone wants to see the images I can text them to ya...
