I had this same thing happen on a Kawasaki Bayou 400 about a month ago.
Load test on the battery: good
Replaced the starter solenoid: did not change one thing
Pulled the starter and the contact point for the brushes was burned black.
Cleaned that up and it has started like a brand new one ever since.
