Guys,
I am having a hard time finding a club around my area. If anyone knows of any leases or clubs available around barbour lee or Russell counties please let me know I need to get in the woods and will not hunt public hunting land again after my experience at tuskeegee during turkey season.

I have been looking for hunting land in Russell County for several years�Gotta be the hardest place in the world to find a good lease!!!

Elm hat hunting club takes members every year. I don't think they filled all there spots this year. They have a website.

I was turkey hunting last year, I was callin in a bird that was prolly 75 yards from me. im steady callin and this guy come hallin ass into the woods IN AN ORANGE VEST and shot the bird i was callin so i was like screw this ill never hunt here again

Problem with elm hat is they want like 2500 $ for the year and im not trying to spehnd that kind of money on a lease

Elm hat dropped a ton of members and jumped price way up after Elvis died his wife ran it last year unsure if she does still

She does. But they also lost a ton of acreage.

Find the web site for Plum Creek and wells timberland. They post open leases in the spring. I've been hunting here forever and never heard of elm hat.

Elm Hat mostly leased their property from privately help landowners. Most of the land was right on the border of Macon and Russell. Like I said earlier some of it has dissolved due to the passing of the man who ran the club. At one time they did have like 6000+ acres and 100 members.

It was only 40 people on 6000 acres not long ago. I was in it around 2002 and it was pretty good, as far as seeing lots of deer

i was telling you what the Elm Hat dues were a person. But as far as leasing in Russell County we pay $12 an acre. Its pricey.
