Nice deer but its gotta hurt a little knowing the nest is yet to come.hope you are really taginv your deer.because there are a lot of people follwing this web site.becareful I think I would have saved the smaller buck for another couple years, that way you would have another tag.because when you put your picture on any site someone is vonna know your real name.but you can still shoot does so good luck.looks like your a great hunter not trying to discredit you ,just stay by the law.
It's national forest land so any buck is a good buck to me. I was as happy to kill a small buck down here as I was a wall hanger on well managed private land. I've went and sat a couple mornings without a gun just watching. Going to try to put whitney on one I saw the other morning. The thing is about around here they are rutring right now and after its over it gets tough. Usually after Christmas I'll be doing good to even see a deer. So I try to strike while the iron is hot.
