Republican presidential frontrunner Donald Trump called for a “total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States” until the country’s representatives can “figure out what is going on.”
The Trump campaign released a statement Monday afternoon declaring his commitment to preventing Muslim immigration. The campaign justifies this discrimination by saying that large segments of the Muslim population bear “great hatred toward Americans.”
“Without looking at the various polling data, it is obvious to anybody the hatred is beyond comprehension,” Trump said in a statement. “Where this hatred comes from and why we will have to determine. Until we are able to determine and understand this problem and the dangerous threat it poses, our country cannot be the victims of horrendous attacks by people that believe only in jihad and have no sense of reason or respect for human life. If I win the election for president, we are going to make America great again.”
The release cites a recent poll from the Center for Security Policy, a Washington, D.C.-based national security think tank, which said that 25 percent of U.S. Muslims asked think that violence against Americans in the U.S. is justified as a “part of the global jihad.”
It’s unclear how wide-reaching Trump’s proposed ban would be — Does it include Muslim leaders of countries that are U.S. allies, like the King of Jordan, for instance? — or how he’d specifically carry out such a plan.
Representatives for the Trump campaign did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Yahoo News.
But when asked by The Hill whether Trump’s theoretical ban “would include Muslim-American citizens currently abroad,” spokeswoman Hope Hicks replied, “Mr. Trump says, ‘Everyone.’”

to me trump sounds no different than the ones that clam that all white people are the blame for slavery and ever problem black people have had .

Not a Trump supporter. Trump says what the regular folks think and then sticks by what he says. Very few politicians have the testes to actually say something that might offend someone. Immigration control whether it be from the middle east or south of the border is a winning issue. Every single time he says something like this he gains supporters.

If you read their "Holy Book" then you find out real quick what it calls for.Some[the ones that are called radicals] act on it and some[the ones that are called peaceful]don't act on it.All muslims believe that any religion other than theirs must be destroyed.It's no different than white supremeist that act on their beliefs and the ones that stay quietly in the corner.They are both wrong and evil.If blocking all of them will fix the problem "until we figure out what the hell is going on"to quote Trump.Then so be it!I'm all for it because I am a patriot and believe we should do whatever it takes to protect our homeland.If you had a guy move in next door to you with 10 pitbull dogs are you gonna assume that 9 of them are good and one may be evil.Hell no!Most of you guys on here would be on aldeer immediately bitchin because some guy moved in next door and has 10 of those evil pitbulls.The reason why you would make this assumption is because the actions of that breed has for the most part proved them to be killers and unpredictable.You would be in fear for your family's life the whole time they were living next door and ready at all times to kill one if it even looked towards your family.Sometimes drastic actions take drastic reactions.The only problem that I can see with this type of reaction in the future is that it opens the door to even more discrimination against the Christian faith in this country with a mindset of "whats good for one is good for all".$.02

I don't see why the U.S. Don't just shut down the borders completely and fix our problems. I do agree with Frankie that not all Muslims want to kill us, but I do think that it's more than the average citizen. Just my .02.
