I have both and enjoy using them for different styles of hunting. The 22-250 is a great plot gun. If you have plenty of time to pick your shot, that's the gun to take. Cut overs & power lines will be better suited for the 25-06. A nice round with plenty of thump at a good distance. As with any gun...shot placement is the name of the game. I just enjoy the light recoil & being able to still be looking through the scope to see the animal react as the bullet hits
