My initial instinct was to go with the aforementioned choices but came across a Kawasaki Brute Force 750 that was an incredible deal that I couldn't pass up. I may post some pics with more details later. Incredible once in a lifetime kinda deal!

As someone who works in the manufacturing industry, I can tell you that the Honda engine is hard to beat. I have a Suzuki which has been good, but the Honda is better.

Yamaha any day of the week and twice on Sunday. Depending on how big you are, make sure you look at the seat size. Yamaha usually is a bit bigger and more comfortable, or at least they used to be. I have riden either one in several years.

I have worked on both, and I guaranty 2x time longer engine life out of the Honda, the yamaha has a bit better power but in 5yrs the sucker will smoke from the ring wear.
