No black panthers!.... Man what are you talking about? We catch then things as regular as possums but us trappers don't like attention so we just turn em loose!

You been holding out on me. I thought it was black bears you been releasing, not black painters. I want to come trap some painters with you.

Now who ever heard of releasing a black bear! They're some good eating if you add enough salt and cayenne pepper. Black panther taste too much like sasquatch to me and the meat is almost as stringy as unicorn steak.

Good luck and bad luck today. Caught a grey, but had a coyote pull out with my trap and take it. Got a glimpse of him and followed him for a while but never got a shot. I have more time to look tomorrow and hopefully he gets tangled or holes up. Never had that happen.[img:center]http:// [/img] [img:center]http:// [/img]

Hate that Charlie! How did you have it staked?

Congrats on the grey! I caught another one this morning also but haven't got the pics of him yet.

It had a superstake with 12 inches of chain to the first swivel and I drove it all the way to the swivel. The dirt wasn't that soft, I don't know, may have hit a soft spot or pocket in the clay. May have to go with 18 inches of chain. Or may have to start using springs like you use.

Actually I just measured one and they do have 18 inches of chain already.

I wouldn't have imagined that sucker coming out either. I run the finned super stakes and shock springs just because of our sandy ground.

Neighbor and I set out 7 coyote sets and 8 coon DP's this evening on his lease by the river swamp. Coyote sign everywhere down there. The power line road looks like a yote interstate.

I'm going to miss out on checking them in the morning to go duck hunting, but he is supposed to take pics of any catches. We decided if we don't catch some yotes down there, we might as well sell our traps. eek

Well the duck hunt was a bust this morning, but the trapline produced. First cat I have ever caught. He weighed 23 pounds and was caught in a remake where I caught the otter.
