They only thing I agree with Stan about is that Alabama (and Auburn) never got called for holds that were obvious.
I think a hold can be called on almost every play in college football. I also think that for the most part in big games the officials let the players play. On the other hand when a player shoves the opposing starting quarterback into a bench out of bounds potentially causing a serious injury on national TV, I think they have to call it.
