When I was growing up I played youth sports. Baseball was always my favorite. I pitched a lot and my catcher was a big ol', tough as nails, rough kid named Bobby Murphy. Bobby was the kid that would do anything if someone dared him to. He almost always had stitches or a broken bone.
I threw harder than most and but my control was my biggest asset. I threw 3 pitches... fastball, breaking pitch, and change-up. I could put all 3 anywhere I wanted them. I could hit 82-83 occasionally. For those of you who just watch MLB that doesn't seem that fast, but if you follow HS baseball you know that's pretty hard for a 15 year old. We were playing the Championship game in Pony League or Colt League so I was 14 or 15. Full count on the #3 hitter and the umpire called a ball when we thought we had struck him out. Bobby framed the pitch and I could tell the umpire said something to Bobby but I couldn't hear it. #4 hitter comes to the plate. We called the kid "fatrat" because he was a big old boy. Fatrat hit lots of bombs, including one off me earlier in the season. Bobby called a fastball up and in. I was pissed about the umpire's call on the last pitch and I let it fly. About the time I let go of the ball, Bobby was gone. The ball hit the umpire right on the chin, and he staggered back about three steps and hit on his ass. My jaw dropped open and my eyes had to be as big as saucers. Bobby, standing about a step outside the left handed batter's box, yelled, "I called a pitchout!". I just stared. Bobby asked the umpire for time and started toward the mound. About halfway to me he yelled again, "I called a pitchout!" I just shook my head. The entire infield came in and when Bobby got to me he said, "Maybe that sumbitch learned his lesson." My shortstop said, "You didn't call a pitchout, did you?" Bobby said, "Nope. Freeze(that's what everyone called me) threw it right where I called it." It finally hit me that he had done that on purpose so I'd hit the ump. I asked Bobby what the umpire said to him after ball 4 on the last batter. Bobby said the umpire told him not to ever frame another pitch to try to show the umpire up. Bobby said, "Freeze, you're gonna have to be perfect today because the ump is gonna take a beating and we aren't gonna get many calls. I knew then not to ever piss Bobby off...

Good first series. Hold auburn to 3 and out and hopefully make this kick and put points on the board.

Good defensive series for auburn. I'll give Bama 3 points every possession. It can't get too ugly that way.

The highschool offense is pretty effective on this possession. A lot of misdirection and the D looks a little confused.
