Check and double check mounts. Same ammo? If not, try another. Give it a good cleaning with a good copper solvent.

It has a rail and all was checked when I installed the scope. Same ammo. It's Winchester ammo. Checked two different boxes. Same results.

Going to get a different brand of shells. Maybe that will help.

Like mentioned before clean the barrel with a good copper solvent because you might have a copper fouling issue on the rifling of the barrel. This issue will make you scratch your head and wonder why you can not get the rifle to group worth a dang.

I will do the cleaning before starting with a new box of shells Make sure you use a dedicated copper solvent. Most solvents do very little for copper. After cleaning, crack a couple "fouling shots" then shoot for groups. Use a good solid rest.

Shooters choice copper solvent. Wet a patch and run it through let it sit for a few and run a copper brush down the barrel a few times push another patch of shooters choice then dry patch it until it comes out clean and then oil it with a good clp or rem oil or you will have rust quicker than a gnat fart.

Any chance you've taken the forearm off recently?
We will burn that bridge when we get there

I took the forearm off after it started shooting all over the place. It does mount wierd. The screen doesn't bottom out, it has a rubber washer to tighten against. So I snugged it up and didn't over tighten.

My son had one of those in 243. The most inaccurate gun I have ever dealt with. You could get it sighted in one day and it would shoot great. the next, all over the place.
